Challenge: Fluid Me Once, Shame on Me!

 
We are running a Nail Art Challenge throughout the month of March where you could win a $100 Gift Card!
All March, every 4 days we will have a new Nail Art technique for you to attempt and then post your creations for a chance to win. We are going to have 2 Grand Prize Winners, each will receive a $100 Gift Card to spend on any products on our site WhatsUpNails.com and in store in Chandler Mall (Arizona, USA). One winner will be selected from each of the following entry methods:
  1. on Instagram, upload your photo on your Instagram page with tags @whatsupnails and #whatsupnailsMarch
  2. in our Facebook group WhatsUpNailsFanGroup, upload your photo to technique album in the group

22-25 March Challenge - Fluid Art (Spots & Geode). Create a look making abstract fluid designs.

Geode Effect is inspired by Geode resin art paintings.
  • Place strips of polish on a silicone mat (plastic bag or parchment paper), 3-4 colors works best, allow them to run into each other.
  • Using a water marble tool (dotting tool, toothpick, detail brush) create zigzag pattern across all polish strips.
  • Take a flat brush, scoop up the polish with it from the mat and apply on the nail, repeat until nail is covered.
  • If needed, use a detail brush or dotting tool to add more details. Let dry.
  • Top with your favorite glossy or matte top coat.

Spot Effect is inspired by Fluid art paintings with acrylic paint.
This effect can be achieved by using special marbling polishes like Dance Legend - Spot It. Apply this polish in random strokes over other wet regular nail polishes. Spot It will slowly spread and create marbled effect. You may add additional small strokes where needed.

All good things come to an end and the water spotting challenge is no different. Thank you all for your submissions and take a quick peek at these 12 gorgeous manis submitted for the challenge. We loved the outcome of a little time and alcohol spray! Now it’s time to get ready for the next challenge, Fluid Art.

You do not have to post your nail photos for each technique if you are intimidated but this is a challenge! Try to challenge yourself to see if you can do all of them even if it is a technique, you're a little uncomfortable with.
Each post counts as an entry so the more nail art designs you do the more chances you will have to win. Make sure in each entry you use at least one product from one of the brands we carry on WhatsUpNails.com and also post your nails within provided timeline!

The nail art challenge is international and for everybody! Please don't tag your old designs, we're looking for what you create today in the month of March! The last day of our challenge is March 29th and we will announce the winners on March 30th, 2021.
